[ NYCC, Site Reveal, and stuff. ]  -   bayoab
Our coverage of New York Comic-con 2009 is available at http://bayoab.info/live/live2.php. (Yes, this was last week. I had forgotten to make the news post.)

Licenses, in no particular order:
At Ohayocon, FUNimation announced the license to the Fullmetal Alchemist OVAs.

TRSI has announced the license to Maria-sama ga Miteru Season 4.

Bandai has confirmed that they have Season 2 of Gundam 00 at NYCC.

Like with Shikabanehime Aka, FUNimation is also streaming Shikabanehime Kuro on Youtube, Funimation.com, Hulu and Joost.

More info on where to find episodes is available at the new site, which doesn't have a name or domain yet, located for now at http://bayoab.info/enviro2/. The new site is a work-in-progress list of all of the legally available anime on the web for your computer. (Again, this site isn't replacing envirosphere. It is simply running on an experimental version of a new backend.)

Update 1:
FUNimation has announced Bamboo Blade, both seasons of The Tower of Druaga, Blassreiter, and Dragonaut the Resonance at Katsucon.

Update 2, no 3, make that 4:
Kadokawa is streaming Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuutsu and Nyoro~n Tsuruya-san with english subs on Youtube. It appears Kadokawa will be removing the episodes after a week so watch them when you can.

FUNimation has announced Seto no Hanayome on their blog.

And another announcement from their blog: El Cazador de la Bruja. And yet another announcement: Mnemosyne

あけおめ

Viz has apparently licensed I''s and I''s Pure based on a few DVD retailer listings.

The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk is streaming on Youtube and Crunchyroll.

Also, the following series are now legally streaming on Crunchyroll and their premiere episodes will be listed on the site when they go free (for now):
Naruto Shippuden, Gintama, Shugo Chara! (Season 2), and Zoku Natsume Yujincho.

Naruto Shippuden will also be on Hulu.

All of the above series are available to most of the world.

And now a quick teaser about the site mentioned in the last post:
In the first week of February, there will be a launch of a site (currently known by many names) which is a prelude to the next version Envirosphere. I just want to emphasize now that the site is a complement to Envirosphere, not a replacement.
Edit2: The public beta is live and launch is delayed till NYCC. Here's a uncensored preview image. (Note: Layout is very subject to change.)

[ Otakon and other stuff ]  -   bayoab
Live news from Otakon will be at http://bayoab.info/live/live2.php and here when it happens.

Bandai Ent. has announced the license to .hack//GU trilogy at their Otakon Surprise panel.

ADV announced the license to Koharu Biyori at their Otakon panel.

Updates:
d-rights (via FUNimation) has sent out cease and desist letters for Monochrome Factor, Nabari no Ou, Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn, Bamboo Blade and El Cazador de la Bruja. At the Fansubber and Industry Discussion panel at Otakon, a FUNimation representative mentioned they have acquired power-of-attorney for these titles.

Enoki (via FUNimation) has sent out cease and desist letters for Slayers Revolution. As mentioned in this ANN article, FUNi has also signed a power-of-attorney agreement with Enoki.

Editorial edit: The point was also made during Otakon that many of the series that are listed in the cease and desist letters are currently in negotiations for licensing by the various R1 companies (not necessarily FUNimation).
